Workshop details
There are two ways to intervene with schemas: we can manage them and reduce their power over our lives, or we can transform them and change our perception. The workshop will teach therapists how to implement the Therapeutic Reconsolidation Process (TRP), which leads to a genuine transformation of schemas, and how to integrate it with the Schema Therapy model through the use of a Schema Map. Participants will learn how to guide patients in recognizing the coherence of their schemas as emotional truths that deeply resonate with them. They will also learn how to facilitate experiences that challenge these emotional truths at an experiential level through the lens of a Matrix which indicates which prediction can be challenged by the patient’s actual reality. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to gain practical experience and guidance on how to integrate PRT into Schema Therapy through videos, demonstrations and exercises.
Objectives

Norsk Psykologforening har godkjent utdanningen i skjematerapi som obligatorisk program til spesialiteten i psykoterapi. Norsk Psykologforeningen godkjent dette kurset som 24 timer vedlikeholdsaktivtet. Kurset vil bli søkt godkjent som valgfritt spesialist- og etterutdanningskurs av Spesialitetskomiteen i psykiatri og av Spesialitetskomiteen i allmennmedisin av den Norske Legeforeningen.
ISST-standard
Utdanningsprogrammet er godkjent av International Society of Schema Therapy (ISST) som tellende for internasjonal sertifisering i skjematerapi.

About the presenter
Pierre Cousineau is an experienced psychotherapist. Fifty years as a clinical psychologist in private practice and mental health centers.
In the last 30 years, he has been giving conferences and workshops in Canada and in other countries (Europa, Africa). He is also supervising many psychotherapists. His preferences have always been for an integrative approach. He is a certified Schema therapist.
Through the creation of a Mindfulness Flash Card, he has integrated Mindfulness and ACT strategies into schema work.
Since 2015, and through his cooperation with the Coherence Psychology Institute, he has integrated memory reconsolidation into schema work.
He is an Associate Instructor for the Coherence Psychology Institute.
