More about the course

The course provides an introduction to the adaptation of schema therapy for people with anxious-avoidant personality problems. We look at the diagnostic criteria, knowledge status, subjective experiences with these difficulties, change and treatment. Next, maladaptive forms, modes, basic emotional core needs and forms of limited new care that are most relevant and recognizable in this type of difficulty are reviewed. Finally, we look at how one can work schema therapeutically both in terms of therapist style, conceptualisation, stages in the therapy and exercises.
