More about the course

Forensic therapy is an evidence-based therapy approach for the treatment of emotionally unstable personality predisposition.
In the Netherlands, form therapy is regarded as the "gold standard" in relation to this patient group.

In Norway, schematic therapy is mentioned in the national guidelines as a validated and recommended therapy approach for emotionally unstable personality disorder. Several effect studies have shown that form therapy is an effective treatment for this patient group.
Poul Perris will present the formative model's vulnerability model for psychological development and maturation.

The conceptual model of basic emotional needs, early adaptive and maladaptive forms, mode and life context will be reviewed.

He will undergo significant moments in the treatment where the term mode or form mode is central. Mode is defined as part of the self that is not fully integrated with other parts of the self. People with an emotionally unstable personality disorder typically change between four modes: Offline Protector, Dismissed / Abused Children, Angry / Impulsive Children, and Punitive / Judicial Critics (Inner Bullying Mode).

In form therapy, the therapeutic relationship is important. Delimited care or "limited repairs" and empathetic confrontation as interventions will be reviewed.
