More about the course

Within schema therapy, the entire therapy process and healing of the schema is highly dependent on the therapeutic relationship. In the meeting with those we help, we as schema therapists need to be genuine and present. We must be able to maintain a needs perspective - see and understand the needs behind wounds (schemas) and protection (coping strategies) - and we must be able to work with "limited reparenting". In exercises such as visualizations and chair work, we are expected to intuitively know how a healthy adult functions and expresses himself.

Sometimes it can feel overwhelming to learn the theory and techniques of schema therapy and at the same time take on a kind of parental role. Sometimes our own wounds and fears make it difficult to work with those we want to help.

During this therapy group, you will get to try different gestaltanding techniques, including visualization, chair work and phrases. In emotional contact with your wounds, protections and needs, you can increase your understanding of yourself. You share your experiences with other therapists. Model I learning of the therapist role is also expanded in a group.
